Joanne is an accomplished and highly versatile senior fundraising professional with nearly 20 years’ experience and a passion for all things digital.

As a seasoned fundraiser and technology specialist in the nonprofit space, she’s successfully worked with diverse systems—from all-in-one platforms like Engaging Networks and BSD Tools to integrating best-in-breed technologies such as DotDigital, JustGiving, and Raiser’s Edge.

Joanne has experience working both client and agency side across international markets and her data driven, insight led approach is coupled with tenacity, good humour and an ability to communicate and influence effectively and tactfully at all levels. 

In her previous role at Engaging Networks Joanne led the global Growth Team, having first seen success as the Director of Sales & Marketing (UK & International), this involved signing fifty new clients including, The Labour Party, Oxfam GB, Mind, Teenage Cancer Trust, Target Ovarian Cancer and many more, generating total contract revenue of more than £1.3 million.

In her role at Asthma UK Joanne helped the organisation adjust to a changing environment and led the development of new digital products and income streams.  

Joanne previously established the Fundraising Strategy & Resources team at Diabetes UK whose remit is to create a new emphasis on innovation, creativity and identifying new income streams with a particular focus on enhancing their digital fundraising capability. Joanne introduced an innovation strategy, data strategy, strategic marketing strategy, digital fundraising strategy and focused on providing analysis that enables data driven insight (product hierarchy, segmentation and lifetime value analysis).

Before this Joanne was responsible for the digital fundraising strategy at Cancer Research UK using her experience in income generation to ensure the charity maximised the use of online giving products to raise over £200 million.
